Hi Steven, Thank you for your comment. Intel for example has the Intel Driver Update D6 that can scan your computer and install generic drivers for the Intel products it finds.
Ableton, bless them, had to be convinced to take over the Laptop to see the sluggishness. Did this solve your problem?

I really want to get back to making music. The only glitch is the f9 key, which controls the volume muting feature. Should be the trick. Everything is, for the most part, working smoothly. I have the same problem.
